Sunday night at the Washington D.C. leg of the Rock the Bells tour, headlining act Damian Marley was unable to perform with collaborator Nas for the concert's final performance. Not to disappoint fans, Nas called in a special guest performance with frequent collaborator and fellow member of the now-disbanded Firm, AZ. The two emcees performed a number of songs together, including "Life's a Bitch" from Nas' debut album Illmatic and "Affirmative Action" from It Was Written.
Following AZ's performance, D-Block rapper Styles P and former Organized Konfusion emcee Pharoahe Monch came out for a surprise performance, at which point Nas left the stage. Styles performed first, doing hits like "Good Times" and "Blow Ya Mind," while Pharoahe followed up with a few songs as well, including "Simon Says" and he and Styles' collaboration "My Life." After their performance, Nas returned to the stage and finished his set with solo material.
