Brother Ali Joined By Freeway, Joell Ortiz On New LP

Having already released the critically-acclaimed The Truth Is Here EP/DVD [click to read] this year, Rhymesayers Entertainment's Brother Ali [click to read] is gearing up for his full-length contribution to 2009. Titled Us, the fourth long-player released by the Minneapolis-based emcee. Exclusive information confirms that Ali, known for limited guest appearances, will be joined on the album by Public Enemy's Chuck D, Joell Ortiz, Stokley Williams of Mint Condition and "The Truth" collaborator Freeway [click to read].

Known for almost exclusively working on his albums with Atmosphere member Ant, production has yet to be confirmed. Last year, Ali's hit "The Truth" came courtesy of Seattle-based veteran Jake One.

In promotion of the September 22 album, Ali is touring with newly-acquired Rhymesayers artist and Dilated Peoples emcee/producer Evidence, as well as Toki Wright.
