Los Angeles, CA - March 17, 2009 - Icadon formerly known as Icarus, the hardest working unsigned artist ever to come out of New York, released his ninth mixtape, The New Deal, available now online.

The New Deal celebrates Ic signing a new label deal for his company, Johnny Pump Entertainment with Amalgam Entertainment. The mixtape includes 17 tracks, 6 of which can be heard at myspace.com/johnnypumpent, and the entire album is available for download at

The New Deal features artists such as, Rockwilder, Sassy and C. Onez, to name a few. Mixtape tracks include DJ Khaled's Go Hard featuring Jay-Z, T.I.'s Dead and Gone featuring Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson's Spotlight, Akon's So Paid, and Lady Gaga's Just Dance, all with Icadon's rhymes and special twists on the tracks.

The New Deal debuts producers Beat Cartel on track three, Tear 5th Ave Up, featuring unsigned artist Sassy. Tear 5th Ave Up has a party/club sound with Sassy's rhymes reminiscent of the baddest bitch while Ic rips up the track rhyming about spending money on his cars and on 5th Ave.

About Icadon
Launched Johnny Pump Entertainment with Grammy winning producer Rockwilder in 2007, and recently signed the company with Amalgam Entertainment. Icadon dove head first into the Hip Hop game, after meeting multiplatinum recording artist/actor Redman in 2000. Ic has appeared on both Funk Master Flex and DJ Clue mixtapes. He has been featured on four Redman tracks, two off his Malpractice, 2001, and two off his Red Gone Wild, 2007 albums. Ic has performed with Method Man and Redman on their Blackout Tour, as well as on Redman's Malpractice Tour.

Icadon was featured in XXL Magazine's "Show and Prove" section, 2001. He has released nine mixtapes, one digital album and was a featured artist on Naughty By Nature's Icons Album, Erick Sermon's Chilltown, New York 2004 album, Nate Dogg's self-titled, unreleased 2005 album and has recorded numerous tracks with Rockwilder.

Began in 2001 by two brothers who took their love for Hip Hop, the music and the culture, to produce beats and start Beat Cartel. Beat Cartel's sound is versatile, incorporating the styles of old school hip hop, while adding a little new school flavor with their addictive beats.

Beat Cartel came in contact with various artists because one of the brother's worked as an assistant engineer for Mirror Image Recorders and later became the head engineer for Redman.
