(AllHipHop News) Slaughterhouse member Joell Ortiz has announced the details for his new upcoming album Free Agent, which will be released via a deal with E1 Music.
Ortiz has lined up a number of notables for the follow-up to his debut album The Brick (Bodega Chronicles).
Artists like Raekwon, Akon, Bun B., Smokey Robinson, Talib Kweli, Styles P., MOP and Jean Grae make appearances on the album, while producers like DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, Novel, Nottz, Frequency and others crafted the sound of the release.
"Joell Ortiz is one the hottest new emcees to come out of New York. We had a lot of success with the first Joell release and are very excited he continues to be in the E1 family,” E1 Music’s General Manager Alan Grunblatt stated.
According to E1, the first single from Free Agent is titled “Call Me,” a “nostalgic story of teenage love,” set in Brooklyn in the 1990’s.
