During the graduation ceremonies, students will perform original Hip-Hop songs and dance numbers, while a number of celebrity guests will also be on hand to perform an inspired the students.

"To have 80 kids tugging on me, putting in my hands things that they've written is just a wonderful experience," YoYo told AllHipHop.com.

According to various parents whose children attended the course, the children were transformed from shy to bold, as they wrote their stories in the form of songs and essays.

"Ms. YoYo taught us how to explore our normal selves and how we can be like Chris Brown, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and all the other entertainers," said Roman "Wild Cat" Thomas, a 12-year-old student who wrote the chorus for the YoYo's School Of Hip Hop chant.

YoYo, who debuted in 1991 with her debut album Make Way for the Motherlode, has worked with a number of artists including Ice Cube and Quincy Jones. She is also a well-known radio host, radio personality and actress, with featured roles in the classic sitcom “Martin."
