Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) recently announced that Atlanta sensation B.o.B. and Alex Da Kid, co-writer and producer of B.o.B.'s hit song "Airplanes," have signed distribution deals. B.o.B. signed to a world-wide co-publishing agreement through UMPG's deal with Eminem's Slim Shady Music Publishing, LLC, while Alex Da Kid signed to an exclusive world-wide publishing deal.
"Both B.o.B. and Alex Da Kid are talent that we recognized early and helped develop as their music publisher," said Jessica Rivera, Senior Director of Creative Affairs of UMPG. "It's rewarding to sign such amazing talent and see their efforts grow into major international pop success. We look forward to supporting their future efforts as they develop long careers making music that will be heard around the world."
The deal will cover B.o.B.'s recent debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which topped the U.S. Billboard 200, Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums charts when it was released earlier this year.
