R&B singer Raheem Devaughn has hinted that he will re-link with recent collaborator Ghostface Killah to record a full length duet album.
While keeping details to a minimum, Raheem said they are on the verge sealing the deal.
"Yeah I'm on two songs on the [Wizard of Poetry] album and it's like the latest turn of events," Devaughn revealed in an interview to radio personality Angela Yee. "We real close to finalizing a possible Raheem Devaughn and Ghostface Killah album, you know what I'm saying? Where it would be like a collabo joint, you know. I think he got a great chemistry going." (Team Yee)
Ghostface previously spoke with SOHH about his early struggles to get singers for his new album, The Wizard of Poetry.
"I had the list in my head but my list ain't work," he explained last July. "These R&B cats is wild yo but some people heard my work and they just jumped on it. Like John Legend, he heard what I was doing and he just wanted to get on it. Same thing with Raheem DeVaughn. I wanted Alicia Keys, I reached out to Avant. Tamia but you know how it is with women. They just stood the kid up. They ain't get back so I had to just go with the fellas." (SOHH)
Trey Songz recently talked about the possibility of making a duet album with rap newcomer Drake.
"We'll have to see," Songz explained in an interview. "That's crazy. We always talked about that when -- life. Look forward to seeing more music from us. I think we'll make music together as long as we're both making music. We've done some songs for his album, but we do songs all the time. There's no telling if those songs will be on the album or not. I'm sure we'll work together again before his album is out in stores, but we got some special stuff brewed up." (Rap-Up)
Rapper Fabolous is reportedly hitting the studio with Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie for a group project.
"We're talking about a triple-team collaboration that's really gonna hurt the game," Leslie revealed in an interview. "Your boy Fab, the boy Ne-Yo and yours truly on the board. It's really gonna put a hurting on everybody...The table is open -- if you're bringing something to the table, you can break bread. It's about conceptualizing. It's not gonna be a project that's thrown together. It's gonna be a real round table, and we're gonna talk about really putting something in the atmosphere that contributes something that's never been done before." (MTV)
No further details have been released as of now.
