Boston rapper J the S, aka Jake the Snake, plans to take his rep to the next level this year by releasing the street album My Will along with his third full-length studio album The Last Days.
J the S, who opened for Kool G Rap, AZ, and Wu-Tang Clan as a budding emcee, believes these two new projects will bring his status in the rap game to a new level.
"My Will is a complete project to me," J the S said. "This is a collection of songs with concepts and direction, not freestyles about the same...It represents a segue for me into my upcoming album The Last Days, as that album will be a step into a new realm, into a more musical, different sound. My Will gives listeners a look into my world through the more familiar form of Hip Hop we all know and love."
The upcoming release, My Will, totes guest appearances from Kool G Rap, Saigon, B.o.B, as well as Emilio Rojas and Donny Goines.
Jake added, "My Will represents me as a person. I give myself to the listener through personal lyrics and topics that mean something to me...The songs also show my range as a person."
My Will is set to be released January 20, 2009 with The Last Days following in the early part of the year.
