RZA and The Hood Internet are among the artists crafting exclusive material in Dr Pepper's new recording studio in Hollywood.
RZA and The Hood Internet are slated to release exclusive EPs as part of Dr Pepper’s “One of a Kind” series, according to Billboard.
RZA’s four-cut Only One Place To Get It EP is set for a May 14 release.
The Hood Internet’s EP is scheduled to be the second project from the partnership. Its EP is slated for a June release.
Producer Dave Sitek, who has worked with Kelis and TV On The Radio, is slated to release an EP July 16.
The EPs are all set to feature vocals from Robert DeLong, Rockie Fresh, Tinashe and RAC.
“We actually had a chance to work with the producers to
identify artist that they were genuinely excited about working with,”
Jaxie Alt, senior VP of marketing at Dr Pepper, says to Billboard. “It
was also important that we had talent who felt authentic to our brand
and embodied what being 'One of a Kind' truly is. Through all of our
creative, we wanted to tell the stories of unique artist and capture the
collaborative process between producer and artist.”
The “One of a Kind” material was recorded in the Dr Pepper
Studio in Hollywood, California and is produced in conjunction with
Complex Media Group.
