Legendary multi-platinum Hip Hop producer and recording artist, DJ Quik, also notably recognized for his work on 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me and Better Dayz , in addition to Snoop Dogg’s Ego Trippin’, continues to hone in on his musical ambitions, returning with the live concert series production of Quik’s Groove.
After selling out Los Angeles’ Key Club and The Grove in Anaheim, California last year, with impromptu performances by an arrangement of artists including Murs, Raekwon and Lady of Rage, the Compton emcee decided to bring back the celebrated concert series.
Kicking off September 25, DJ Quik is giving music fans more of what they love, with Hip Hop, R&B, jazz and funk combined with live musical performances from special guest stars in an intimate social setting. In a recent press release to the media, Quik stated, “Quiks Groove’s give me a chance to be a fan of music again and invite out artists that I have admired and BlaQKout with them under the appreciation of musicianship and artistry,” he continued, “you will never see the same show twice and you never know who might show up.”
Returning this time at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on the notorious Sunset strip, Quik’s Groove’s will jump start with an all-star red carpet event on September 25, followed by a tentative schedule for dates in December, March 2010 and June 2010, all slated to take place at the House of Blues.
