With an esteemed cadre of rap heavyweights, Slip-N-Slide Records is looking to increase its presence in the music industry by highlighting its in-house production team.
Comprised of CP Hollywood, DJ Ave Mcree, Vakseen and Hollywood J, the group shares a love of designing beats while working with Slip-N-Slide artists such as Trina, Rick Ross and Plies.
Individually, S-N-S production team members garnered the label’s attention through their own achievements.
In addition to Ross, CP Hollywood has collaborated with Youngbloodz, Pitbull, Hurricane Chris, Pleasure P, Ballgreezy and Unda Surveillance.
The Florida native is known for producing Unda Surveillance’s club anthem “On Deck.”
DJ Ave Mcree captured a buzz among Georgia residents while studying legendary turntablists Grand Master Flash and DJ Magic Mike.
Like his Florida-based affiliate, Mcree has shared studio time with a variety of artists, including George Clinton, DJ Unk and Eight Ball & MJG.
The Slip-N-Slide production team's official introduction comes as the label prepares to release debut albums from newcomers Shonie and Qwote.
In addition, the Slip-N-Slide celebrates the newest additions to its roster: actress/songstress/community leader Drew Sidora, dancehall sensation Atiba, yard soul artist Camar and rapper turned singer Swazy Baby.
Hollywood J’s inclusion on the production team marks a new chapter for the Chicago native, who made his mark working with rap trio The Teamstaz.
Hollywood J is also known for his remix to Gorilla Zoe’s hit single, “Hood Figga” as well as his work on songs from Omarion, T.I. and Yung Joc.
The college-educated musicmaker isn’t the only Slip-N-Slide production team member to work with Yung Joc.
The Bad Boy rapper’s Gucci Mane and Yung Ralph-featured single, “Posted at the Store" was produced by Vakseen.
Citing music and the theory of art as influences, the beatmaker is also noted for producing Jim Jones’ “Pulling Me Back” as well as logging in studio time with G-Unit and Black Wall Street, among others.
In the coming months, fans can expect more Slip-N-Slide music from Trina and Ross.
