On April 26, Hip Hop artists, including Joell Ortiz, Tony Sunshine and others will join The March of Dimes for "Give Life Concert" at New Jersey's Rutgers University.
Held at the New Brunswick main campus, the event begins at 1pm. It will be hosted by AJ of La Calle Radio.
"It gives me the opportunity to help raise money for a great charity, one which i have a close connection to due to the fact my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia, and due to research and development that the March of Dimes has helped fund, my daughter is now healthy and has been in remission for four years now," said one of the performers Amo1 to HipHopDX.
The mission statement reads: "Give Life is a multipurpose concert that directly allows college students to actively combat a better future for our society through fund raising for March of Dimes. Our secondary focus, as important as our first, is to illuminate the positive contributions that Latinos and Hip Hop Artists are making at college communities. Rutgers University will be the first of series of College events , beginning in May 2009 Walk the Walk Fashion Show will Tour numerous colleges in (3) different states for World Vision, Inc."
