Where in the world is the REAL Metal Fingerz DOOM ? Another Doomposter turned up in San Bernardino over the weekend for M.F. DOOM's scheduled appearance during the Rock The Bells show.
DOOM's faithful fans can be heard reacting in a manner that is expected when realizations are made that they are getting cheated by an artist that they love - namely booing and throwing objects at the FAKE M.F. DOOM impersonator on the stage. Reports from the venue are stating that the fake DOOM was clearly seen lip-synching and the man behind the mask did not resemble Daniel Dumile whatsoever. The reception was so bad that the imposter had to leave the stage early and didn't finish the set.
There's been some video leaked from the performance - and you can clearly hear the boos and see the objects being thrown. One fan even screams "What the fuck - What's going on man? I didn't come for this shit..".. and the crowd starts chanting "Bullshit" in video 2.
It's amazing that a Tribe Called Quest could reunite w/ Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z can duet with Nas, Black Star can reunite, and the Pharcyde can put on a show in multiple cities, but M.F. DOOM can't seem to get his ass out of his house in Atlanta to give his fans a proper show. What a shame.
