Cee Lo Green Says Goodie Mob's "Age Against The Machine" Will Appeal To Core And New Audiences

by Slava Kuperstein Cee Lo Green explains that the new Goodie Mob album is "somewhat of a testament to our elasticity." It's been nearly 13 years since the entirety of Goodie Mob, comprised of Cee Lo Green, Big Gipp, T-Mo, and Khujo, released an album. 1999's World Party was the last proper studio album from the original incarnation of the influential Atlanta Rap collective, until now. "The Goodie Mob, we definitely are reunited. And we've been working on that album really vigorously and it's coming out very well," confirmed Cee Lo Green in an interview with MTV News. "I think people are going to be very pleased. You know our core audience and also this new audience that we are aspiring to acquire," added Cee Lo, who is currently taping for a new TV Land sitcom titled "Soul Man." The album, titled Age Against the Machine, already has a single out, "Fight To Win." The Soul Machine explained that the reunion was inevitable. "Well, you know, it was just a matter of time, it's very faithful and we're a family," he said. "And you know we were never separate from each other completely. So our coming together after a 12-year hiatus is somewhat of a testament to our elasticity if you will. That's what I call it." Watch the interview below:
