Roc Marciano "Reloaded" Cover Art, Tracklist & Production Credits

Q-Tip, Alchemist and Ka are involved in Roc Marciano's "Marcberg" follow-up, coming this November on Decon.
On November 13, Long Island, New York emcee/producer Roc Marciano will release Reloaded. Billed as the follow-up to Roc's critically-acclaimed 2010 Marcberg solo debut, the Decon release will feature production by Q-Tip, Alchemist and Ray West. Guests will include onetime Natural Elements emcee Ka and Knowledge Pirate.
Since Marcberg, the former U.N. and Flipmode Squad member worked with Alchemist and Oh No on Greneberg, which was released last year through Decon. He also appeared on 2012 albums by Large Professor, Billy Woods and House Shoes.

Hip-Hop Groups Public Enemy, N.W.A. Nominated For 2013 Rock Hall Of Fame

Groundbreaking Hip-Hop acts Public Enemy and N.W.A. are the latest groups to be nominated for possible induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2013.
Public Enemy and N.W.A. are among the 13 groups to be nominated for the 28th annual induction ceremony, which will take place next year in Los Angeles.
In addition to Public Enemy and N.W.A., groups like Heart, Albert King, Kraftwerk, Deep Purple, The Marvelettes, and The Meters are also up for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
“The definition of ‘rock and roll’ means different things to different people, but as broad as the classifications may be, they all share a common love of the music,” said Joel Peresman, President and CEO of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. “This year we again proudly put forth a fantastic array of groups and artists that span the entire genre that is ‘rock and roll’.”
In order in order to be nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, each act or artist must have released their first single, or album at least 25 years ago.
Public Enemy’s first release was Yo! Bum Rush the Show, while N.W.A.’s first album was N.W.A. and the Posse, two groundbreaking albums that were released in 1987.
The inductees will ultimately be determined by an international voting body, made up of music historians, executives and other professionals related to the field.
The 28th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on Thursday, April 18, 2013.

Kendrick Lamar Releases Tracklist for Debut Album “Good Kid, M.A.A.D City”

Kendrick Lamar has released the tracklist for his debut album, Good Kid, m.A.A.d City, which is set to release on October 22through Top Dawg Entertainment and Aftermath/Interscope Records.
The highly anticipated, 12-track debut features appearances from Top Dawg label mate Jay Rock, Drake, and fellow Compton Hip-Hop legends, Dr. Dre and MC Eiht.
Producers Scoop Deville, T-Minus, Rune Rask, and Just Blaze are the only producers confirmed to be credited to the project at this time.
The album’s lead single “Swimming Pools (Drank)” has reached #39 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop charts and #17 on the Rap chart.

In recent days, K. Dot leaked Lamar’s Just Blaze-produced track “Compton,” which features him trading fierce bars with his mentor, Dr. Dre.

Japan Wins DMC DJ World Championships 2012

The 29th DMC World DJ Finals took place at London’s HMV Forum last night (28 September) where 30 DJ’s competed for the ultimate DJ accolade; DMC World Champion 2012.

The competition is one of the biggest mixing DJ competitions, which brings together the finest DJ’s from across the globe.
DJ Izo from Japan took home the prestigious title of 2012 DMC World DJ Champion.
He battled against other finalists such as DJ Precision (USA) DJ Vekked (Canada) DJ Ritchie Ruftone (UK) and DJ Skills (France.)
It was clear Izo was a crowd favorite as the audience cheered loudly when Izo’s name was announced as the new World DJ Champion.
Izo received a one of a kind custom gold plated Rane Sixty Two mixer, which was provided by DMC World DJ Championship sponsors Rane and Serato.
The Japanese DJ is a familiar face at the DMC’s; he came in second place at last year’s competition and has competed in previous years.
Other performances on the night included a DJ set by previous DMC winner DJ Fly, and a performance by UK rap artist, Jehst.
At the end of the finals, founder of the DMC Championships Tony Prince announced that the competition will celebrate its 30th year in 2013 by hosting the DMC World Finals in Paris, France and confirmed the competition will be launching an online ‘golden mic’ MC contest.
