N.W.A. And LL Cool J Up For 2014 Rock and Roll of Fame

• Legends LL Cool J and N.W.A. are included as the esteemed nominees for the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The announcements came yesterday (Oct. 16) and included other legends ilk Chic, Hall and Oats, Peter Gabriel, Nirvana, KISS, among others.
Both LL and N.W.A. were nominated and denied entry in the past.
Should they be accepted, they will join other Hip-Hop Rock Hall inductees Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five,Run-DMC, Beastie Boys and Public Enemy.
Interesting enough, Chic provided the sonic backdrop for “Rapper’s Delight,” the 1979 song that brought rap music to the masses. 2013 is Chic’s eighth time up for nomination.
