Faith-based rapper Lecrae is set to release his next mixtape Church Clothes 2 hosted
by DJ Don Cannon next month. The Grammy winning performer reached out
to B.o.B, Paul Wall, Novel, Kevin Ross, Crystal Nicole, King Mez, Derek
Minor, and Tedashii to provide guest appearances on the follow-up to
2012′s Church Clothes. Production for the project will include work by Boi-1da, David Banner, ThaInnaCircle, Dirty Rice, Thyshane and more.
The Houston native made history earlier this year when he became the first Christian rapper to win a Grammy for Best Gospel Album for his LP Gravity. Lecrae recently performed at the BET Music Matters Showcase with Meek Mill during the A3C Hip Hop Festival. His latest single “I’m Turnt” is available for purchase on iTunes.
“Lecrae continues to defy the box that people have placed him in and in turn is being embraced by his peers and the public,” added Don Cannon. “His music shows how much of a diverse artist he is and that is what will possibly change today’s music culture. People need to pay attention.”
