It looks like Hip Hop had a successful night at the Golden Globe
Awards tonight. At the prestigious ceremony, Chicago rapper Common and
GOOD Music singer John Legend had won the award for “Best Original
Song”. The two artists won the award for their song titled “Glory” from
the movie Selma. Common went the extra mile during his acceptance speech
by paying tribute unarmed black teens. The song beat out several
competitive nominations, including Lorde, Lana Del Ray, Patty Smith
& Lennay Kay, and Sia & Greg Kurstin. Check out Common’s
acceptance speech here, and keep scrolling peep the picture of the two holding the award and check out “Glory” below.
