An American Education is a coming of age story that follows protagonist Rocco D'Amato as he enters the world of drugs, money and sex from a very young age. Rocco's universe parallels that of the working man, who he considers a sucker for working hard with little pay. He is out to prove that he can have the money, power and respect, but he is forced to make a change when the reality of his illegal business catches up to him.
